OK, admittedly,there were substantial program cuts as well (but far less than in the cuts/tax mix
used by most other states in balancing their budgets).
More importantly---- California relied on far more TAXES than other states
were willing or able to impose.
There is no comparison to GOP-dominated states who imposed austerity policies, and as
a result, have experienced far less growth and nowhere near as much economic
rebound from their own deficits, as has The Golden State.
